Strive.

I came from nothing,

so striving for everything I must,

As a woman I am the nurturer,

as a mother I'm a protector,

I've learned every life lesson the hard way,

and for that I shan't settle for less,

I have plenty still to learn,

and so many areas in which I must become stronger and wiser,

I do know,

that average doesn't suit me,

not in career, finance, knowledge, love, or happiness,

I strive daily to become a kinder person,

for the world is only as good as the good we put forth into it,

with one life given to live on this earth,

I refuse to waste it,

I will travel to expand my mind and understandings,

I will love for fiercely that people will write about it,

I will be such a mother to my daughter,

that even when she fails in life she'll know how to get back up,

one life,
